After the madness that was 2022, I was more than a little relieved to calm it right down, and get back to a ‘normal’ wedding season. That this still involved 30+ weddings around the UK, as well Spain, Ireland, Italy and Thailand, says a lot about the new normal! But I wouldn’t have it any other way - I’m incredibly grateful to have couples book me to do what I love doing: capturing emotion and moments in my own way.
2023 also delivered news that took me completely by surprise, when, for a very short while, I was ranked the #1 wedding photographer in the world in the Fearless Photographers rankings, after receiving six awards in the first collection of the year. For those not in the know, Fearless awards are very much revered in the wedding industry - the standard is exceptionally high, with thousands of worldwide entries for every collection. So to see my name at the very top of the rankings after all these years was quite frankly, mind blowing. I also ended the year as one of the Top 10 best in the UK, and Top 20 best in the world in the This Is Reportage end-of-year lists - another highly respected industry list that is fiercely competitive.
Moving swiftly on, a big thank you is in order to every couple who had me capture their day - I always think my photos are only ever as good as the wedding itself, but luckily for me 2023 was an absolute goldmine, as you’ll see from the pictures below.
My goal for 2024 is to push my photography further, to keep improving, to try new things, take more risks, and be bolder. If I’m photographing your wedding this year, you best be ready…
Dude… you’ve excelled, once again. So many complex frames, so many clever frames, so many laugh out loud frames, and so many simple, uncomplicated fames that are simply beautiful moments. Always a pleasure to look through your work. Hope 2024 is an equally belting year for you.
