I had a great feeling about Steph and Rich’s wedding at Almiral de la Font in Sitges, Spain, long before the big day happened. Firstly, I do love a destination wedding, so my excitement instantly piqued when their enquiry flew into my inbox back in 2021, and spoke of a wedding in Barcelona/Sitges. I’ve been to Barcelona before on a street photography trip, but never Sitges, so I naturally googled it and was wowed by the place. A few days later we jumped on a video call, and it was clear that we were all completely aligned with the same vision, but also, they were just seriously lovely people, and I just knew the day was gonna be a helluva lot of fun.
Speaking of which, the whole day took place at Almiral de la Font, a beautiful villa up in the Catalan hills, about a 15 minute drive away from Sitges (which is a really scenic coastal town, highly recommend it). The venue is literally a mansion, with multiple floors (the basement has a cinema room, a snooker table, and my go-to-favourite, table football), tonnes of bedrooms, a swimming pool and hot tub, a gym, and even a lift!! I mean, it’s pretty much perfect, plus you get the added bonus of a stunning view out to sea.
The weather was just right as well - not too hot, with a lovely spring breeze in the air. Steph looked incredible in her unique Grace Loves Lace dress, and the vibes were just so good throughout the day. The party wasn’t too shabby either, and massive props to Nomad who created such great energy throughout their two sets, that was more than matched by everyone there.
“We’re a small group, but we’re mighty” - Steph’s words ringing in my ears to this day. Couldn’t agree more.
