If you’re planning your wedding at the stunning Belvoir Castle and are looking for a creative and unobtrusive Belvoir Castle wedding photographer then you’ve come to the right place! Belvoir Castle is a Grade I-listed luxurious wedding venue in Leicestershire, and I loved shooting there in the past.
There are a few features that really make this wedding venue unique. I remember the very first thing that struck me was how majestic the castle is. For those that like their history, Belvoir Castle had been in the Duke of Rutland’s family since 1067, and to this very day the Duke’s 7 French Cannons are fired by the official Castle Cannon Master - which happens to become a feature of the wedding day! Absolutely amazing.
I was there for Kavita and James’ wedding, and they opted to have their ceremony in the traditional guardroom, surrounded by armour and weapons from battles of old. It was quite something, and from a photographic point of view I loved the high ceilings and flood of natural light that streamed in through the stain glass windows. It was then off to the Lakeside marquee which was able to accommodate the large number of guests they had invited, and was a perfect setting for some quick sunset portraits.
Have a look through the pictures below, and hopefully they’ll give you some inspiration for your own wedding at Belvoir Castle in Leicestershire.
