There’s something about photographing weddings in London that keeps drawing me back.

Maybe it’s the contrast – the quiet side streets against the buzz of the city, the unexpected pockets of green, or the way light cuts between buildings in the late afternoon. But mostly, it’s the people. The stories. The energy that feels different here – more layered, more alive.

I’m Kristian – a documentary London wedding photographer – and for over a decade I’ve been capturing weddings across this city. Not with stiff poses or staged moments, but with a quiet attentiveness to the real, unscripted parts of the day. The things that often go unnoticed. The things that matter most.

No two weddings are ever the same – especially in a city like this.

One weekend, I might be in a centuries-old chapel in Hampstead; the next, inside a warehouse in East London filled with music and candlelight. I’ve photographed intimate elopements at Old Marylebone Town Hall, big family celebrations in grand venues like Kew Gardens, and everything in between.

And whether it’s a ceremony in a back garden or a dance floor in a Soho pub, my focus stays the same: to document your day as it truly felt. Honestly, quietly, and with care.
