Micklefield Hall is a perfect country house wedding venue in Sarratt, Hertfordshire, and I’ve loved shooting there in the past.
I’ve been fortunate to have to photographed at Micklefield Hall a couple of times, and without question, the show stopping moment is when the guests walk through the beautiful gardens, past the French fountain, and arrive at the simply stunning lakeside wedding ceremony setting. I actually overheard a guest say ‘it’s straight out of a movie!’, and I’d have to agree with her!
After getting married by the lake, the guests wander through the gardens for the reception, before finishing up at the 16th Century Great Barn for the wedding breakfast. It has a real rustic feel to it, with wooden beams, and open fires, and the ambience in there has always been on point.
