Seeing as we’re in the depths of Winter, I think it’s only fitting to grab a winter wedding from the archives and reminisce about the good times we have together when we’re huddled up in close quarters, drinking mulled wine and shouting our loudest to Stereophonics’ ‘Dakota’. I present to you, Holly and Greg’s back garden winter wedding.
This was in the December of 2018, nigh on two years ago now. We started the day in a lovely boutique hotel in the town of Lichfield. There were twinkly lights, and a room full of people showing no signs of social distancing at all, for that was not the way back then. There was hugging, kissing, and high fives aplenty. As a wedding photographer this is the kind of stuff I love capturing, all the good, natural stuff, and there was more to come later on.
We then travelled back to Holly’s parents beautiful home, where a marquee was set up to greet everyone, mulled wine was on tap (along with a number of delish cocktails), and live music was at hand to entertain us all.
You could say, this was a winter wedding at its finest.
And then the waitress dropped the wedding cake.
Followed by the wedding planner singing opera…and then the party really started to get going.
