As a wedding photographer, I’ve had the pleasure of photographing in some quite incredible locations, and for me, the Amalfi Coast is right up there. First of all, the Amalfi Coast is simply breathtaking. As you drive through the 50km stretch of coastline in southern Italy, you’re immediately struck by the unique character and style of the picturesque towns and villages. From the pastel-coloured buildings of Positano, to the historic cathedral of Amalfi, it’s no surprise that couples all over the world choose the Amalfi Coast for their wedding day. The cliffside views are also awe-inspiring, and make for a perfect backdrop for couple photos, particularly at sunset.
I was there for Abigail and Deividas’ wedding in Praiano, where they hired out a cliffside villa, and said their vows as the sun set over the sea. It was a truly special and romantic setting for a wedding. We then made our way to the centre of the town, and were happily greeted and congratulated by everyone who walked or drove past, as we made use of the stunning scenery for family and couple photos.
I couldn’t recommend a wedding in the Amalfi Coast more, and with its stunning views, delicious food, rich history, and endless photography opportunities, it truly is the perfect place to tie the knot.
