First things first…that location. It’s pretty remarkable isn’t it. Just one hour away from London, and nestled in the Blackwater Estuary in Essex, Osea Island is completely cut off from the main land, and only accessible during a four hour period when the tide is low enough to reveal an ancient roman causeway. How cool is that?! No wonder it’s a favourite for celebrity parties…
I think the other unique selling point for wedding photography at Osea Island is that you’re not just booking a wedding venue, but the exclusive hire of an entire island, with 4.5 miles of secluded coastline, private beaches and idyllic views.
Whilst I haven’t had the good fortune to photograph at Osea Island yet, I thought I’d scour my back catalogue to find images that replicate the feeling of an Osea Island wedding, as I feel it’s super important to find a photographer who not only shares the same ideals as you, but also the same vision for your day.
