If you’re planning your wedding at the Lingholm Estate and are looking for a creative and unobtrusive Lingholm Estate wedding photographer, then you’ve come to the right place! The Lingholm Estate is a grand Grade II-listed Victorian house in the Lake District, and I’ve loved shooting there in the past.
For those that love their history, the Lingholm Estate was built in 1873 by the prominent Victorian architect Alfred Waterhouse (could you get a more Victorian name??) alongside the shore of Derwentwater. I mean, you just have to stand on the shoreline to realise why….SUCH incredible views of the Lakeland fells. Being a Londoner, I never went up to the Lake District (not even on a school trip!), so to have the opportunity to head there and shoot such a lovely wedding, really was very special.
Speaking of which, if you’re a guest, make a holiday of it! The country Estate lies at the heart of the Northern Lake District with the Lakeland Fells of Skiddaw and Grizedale Pike to the North, Blen Cathra, Castlerigg and High Seat to the East and the Borrowdale Fells and the Newlands Round to the South and West - names that sound like they’re straight out of the Lord of the Rings.
Have a look through the pictures below, and hopefully they’ll give you some inspiration for your own wedding at the Lingholm Estate in the Lake District.
