7 Unique London Warehouse Wedding Venues

I’ve been a London wedding photographer since 2010, so you can imagine I’ve photographed at a number of London warehouse wedding venues in my time! To be honest I absolutely love them - there’s something about that industrial chic aspect that I find really inspiring from a creative point of view. I also find warehouse wedding venues quite atmospheric, with all that exposed brickwork and floor to ceiling windows in many of them. So I thought I’d compile a list of the 7 most unique warehouse wedding venues in London that I’ve had the pleasure of photographing.

1. Trinity Buoy Wharf

Possibly one of the best warehouse wedding venues in London has to be Trinity Buoy Wharf. I remember how taken aback I was by the impressive location (right opposite the o2 Arena), and how Georgina and Simon completely transformed this empty space, to create a totally bespoke, DIY wedding that played into their sense of fun. There’s an option to arrive by boat (!!), and with no neighbours, you can party in The Chainstore, the historic Grade II listed building, until the early hours if you so please. Plus you can head up to the viewing platform of the only lighthouse in for a bit of a time out and some ace couple photos at sunset. Trinity Buoy Wharf Wedding Photographer

2. Walthamstow Wetlands

North of the river lies Walthamstow Wetlands, a 211 hectare nature reserve, with a Grade II-listed Coppermill Tower making it a beautifully industrial wedding venue. I was there for Darren and Sean’s wedding in the old engine room, where an array of drag queen divas put on a two hour plus show, complete with Britney Spears and Diana Ross lip sync battles. 3. MC Motors

Speak to anyone in the industry about what they think the coolest warehouse wedding venue in London is, and MC Motors would top many people’s list. Set in a large industrial warehouse in Dalston, East London, it’s an incredible place to hold a wedding reception, especially for those that love that gritty, industrial vibe. 4. West Reservoir Centre

With a beautiful location right by a reservoir in Stoke Newington, North London, and set in a 1930s Art Deco red-brick building, the West Reservoir Centre is one of my top warehouse wedding venues. It’s one of those buildings that is slightly deceiving from the outside, and makes the biggest impression on the inside, as you walk into the Tower Room, a wonderfully high ceilinged room, with exposed metalwork and plenty of space.  West Reservoir Centre Wedding Photography

5. 100 Barrington

100 Barrington rounds up my list of the best warehouse wedding venues London has to offer. Formerly known as Brixton East, 100 Barrington is one of my favourites. It could largely be done to Gem and Mike’s wedding there, which was absolutely brilliant, and had some of the best partying I can remember. But looking at it objectively, I loved how that there were two floors, so there was no waiting around when everyone was ready to move onto the next part of the day. 100 Barrington Wedding Photographer

6. Clapton Country Club

A combination combination of urban, exposed-brickwork, and plant-chic, Clapton Country Club is a seriously cool venue in East London. I was there for Lucy + Rich’s wedding, and I loved how the wedding progressed through an assortment of rooms. Lucy got ready in the spacious Loft Studio, and it was a mere 30 seconds to the Department of Life, with its wooden beamed eaves, tonnes of plants, disenfranchised brickwork, and 160-year aged parquet flooring. Finally the wedding moves into main hall, and there’s an extra option to have cocktails in the Opium Room. Clapton Country Club Wedding Photographer

7. Shoreditch Studios

Last but by no means least, Shoreditch Studios is an absolutely top wedding warehouse venue. Built within old Victorian railway arches, Shoreditch Studios consists of two high ceiling studio spaces: Studio 1 and Studio 2. Studio 1 is the main space, with the floor to ceiling white infinity cove in the far end and a mezzanine (great for staging a live acoustic set during the ceremony/reception). Then there’s Studio 2 which is a tad smaller than Studio 1, and perfect for moving into the evening festivities with minimal fuss. Shoreditch Studios Wedding Photography
