So, many months ago, when the weather was crisper, and the evenings were shorter than they are today, I ventured into central London for a beautiful winter wedding by the Thames. Claire and John, who found me through this photographers directory, have been together for years, so it was clear in their mind that they wanted to pull out all the stops and celebrate in style. For starters, the ceremony took place at St Bride’s Church, with it’s world-famous tiered spire (the inspiration behind the tiered wedding cake), and then continued onto one of London’s landmark riverside venues – the OXO Tower.
As evening fell, that lovely low winter glow gave way to a flickering of lights, as St Paul’s Cathedral and its surrounding buildings twinkled from across the Thames. What a perfect setting.
