East London Wedding Venues

Wedding Venues in East London

As a London wedding photographer since 2010, I’ve seen many trends come and go, but one that has lasted the course is the popularity of hosting a wedding in East London. This is mainly down to the fantastic options that have become available, from former tram depots to converted town halls, and in this guide I’m going to share some of my favourite wedding venues in East London that I’ve had the privilege to shoot.

1. Town Hall Hotel

Tucked away on a side street in Bethnal Green, lies the Art Deco gem, the Town Hall Hotel. With its grand façade and elegant interiors, this iconic venue provides the perfect setting for modern wedding celebration. One of the best things about the venue is that it’s a one stop shop for the whole wedding, with ample accommodation for guests, and number of beautiful rooms for the wedding ceremony, reception and wedding breakfast. 2. Clapton Country Club

For those wanting a warehouse aesthetic to their day, I wholeheartedly recommend Clapton Country Club. This former tram depot has become an incredibly popular choice with couples over the years, it’s hard not to see why, with its urban, exposed-brickwork and lush greenery throughout. There are also a number of rooms to move around in, from the Department of Life which plays host to the ceremony, through to a few cocktails in the Opium Room. 3. Jones & Sons

Located in Dalston, Jones & Sons is a chic and stylish venue that is perfect for those wanting a relaxed wedding celebration. Predominantly a restaurant, Jones & Sons has the benefit of an outside courtyard, and an additional room to cater for the post wedding breakfast party. The venue is exclusively yours for the day, and, as an added bonus, their bar-staff are fantastic cocktail makers!

4. Wilton’s Music Hall

Situated on an unassuming road in Shadwell, lies Wiltons Music Hall, the oldest working music hall in London. This quirky wedding venue has to be one of my favourites, there is so much to love here, from the exposed brick walls and textures of the main hall, to standing under the lights on the stage and saying your marriage vows in front of all your guests. Wiltons truly offers a one of a kind backdrop for your wedding celebration. Wilton’s Music Hall Wedding Photography

5. Londesborough Pub

For couples who appreciate the warmth and intimacy of a traditional English pub, the Londesborough offers a comfortable setting for a relaxed and informal wedding celebration. Located in the heart of Stoke Newington, this iconic pub offers exclusive use of the entire space, and has the added benefit of a beer garden and outdoor seating at the front. It’s a particulalry great choice if you’re getting married at Stoke Newington Town Hall, which is less than 10mins away!

6. Hackney Town Hall

Hackney Town Hall is a recent favourite of mine, and with the popularity of East London weddings having exploded over the last few years, I’m starting to photograph there more and more. There are a number of rooms to choose from that cater for all wedding sizes and budgets. The recently installed state-of-the-art glass roofed atria is arguably the jewel in the crown, however the beautifully restored Assembly Rooms, Committee Rooms, and the Council Chamber are just as impressive. 7. Shoreditch Studios

Located in the heart of East London, Shoreditch Studios is a versatile blank canvas venue that offers so many possibilities for couples seeking a truly bespoke wedding experience. Housed within old Victorian railway arches, Shoreditch Studios consists of two high ceilinged spaces - Studio 1 and Studio 2. Studio 1 is the main space that hosts the wedding breakfast, whilst Studio 2 doubles up as the reception and dance-floor space. There is also an outside courtyard with colourful graffiti and plenty of seating. Shoreditch Studios Wedding Photography

East London Wedding Venues

My style is all about capturing beautiful, unscripted moments at weddings that are big or small. It’s something I’ve loved doing since I began my wedding photography business in 2010, and I get a tremendous buzz from creating distinctly unique imagery that is artistic and full of emotion.
