FESTIVAL WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER
So, let’s talk festival weddings, or WedFest. Why do I love them so much? Could be because I absolutely love going to festivals myself, and since I have to miss most of them due to the wedding season taking up my weekend slots, these are the next best thing!!
So I thought I’d show you some examples from Kanli and Richard’s festival wedding. It was amazing…they liked the idea of a big BBQ with lots of food and booze and some music, and after some investigation online they found the idea of a festival themed wedding. Since they’d gone to Glastonbury Festival every year with their friends since they got together 5 years ago, they decided on a happy laid-back festival vibe to their wedding. The wedding was to be outdoors, with street food and casual seating, live music all through the event, and the most minimal of speeches (just a short one to thank everybody). Basically the priority was music, food and an open bar!
They looked at many venues but nothing quite fit until they happened upon the Observatory Garden in Greenwich Park. It was perfect for their festival theme and also very centrally located for all their friends in London. A large white stretch tent was the insurance policy against London rain for their outdoors garden festival, and was the largest component of the cost, but the weather gods shone down upon us, and we were blessed with gorgeous sunshine throughout the day.
