Megan and her bridesmaids

Whilst I’m not a Times reader, I couldn’t be happier - or prouder - to have had one of my images make the front page back in 2021, at a time when the country really needed a good news story.

I remember Megan telling me she was going to have her grandmas as her bridesmaids, and thinking what a lovely, thoughtful gesture it was. What I couldn’t have imagined was how far the story would travel. For a little while, I was taking enquiries from all over the world for permission to use the picture, as Megan’s wonderful gesture captured people’s imagination far beyond the wedding itself.
